David’s original composition, "O. Winston Link" has been selected to be in the musical score for the Southwest Virginia Ballet’s performance of “Ties”. A new ballet conceived and choreographed by the company’s artistic director Pedro Szalay. “Ties” tells the story of how the railroad connected “people to others, and to the land that holds them”. Buck Cannon & the Atta Boys, David’s “alter ego” band, are featured in the March ’08 newsletter of the Roanoke Valley Fiddle and Banjo Club. The band performed at the club’s January 2008 concert.
